Rose Bowl Renovation Plans

Existing Stadium - 85+ years; Vision, Growth, History

Proposed Stadium Improvements - “The Next 100 Years”; The proposed improvements to the stadium, although subtle, will make remarkable improvements to your experience while maintaining its iconic and historic status; new press box, less clutters stadium rim, new video board, wider tunnels, added aisles, elliptical field, restoration of historic field hedge, added concessions, and added restrooms.

Proposed Concourse Plan - Your time is valuable to us; The concourse will be expanded from 2.5 to 4.5 sf per person, concession points of sale will be increased from 92 to 225, restroom fixtures will be increased from 733 to 1000, while exiting time from the stadium will be decreased from 35+ minutes down to approximately 12-14 minutes.

Press Box Improvements

The press box renovation will create all new premium seating options. The new suites, loge boxes and club seats will be integrated into the current infrastructure of the press box and keep with the traditional feel of the entire renovation. It will now give fans an option to enjoy air conditioned lounges, up-scale dining options and the ability to purchase all events that come to the Rose Bowl. The new press box will remain the same height, but increase in length and width.

Scoreboards

On the north end of the stadium, fans will enjoy a new 78 foot by 30 foot LED video scoreboard, flanked on either side by two LED advertising panels. This new 4 panel configuration will offer a streamlined view at the north end of the stadium.

On the south end of the stadium, fans will enjoy the 1940's vintage scoreboard. This south end will be be streamlined with LED advertising panels flanking the scoreboard.

The new East Scoreboard will provide the patrons another view of the score and game clock.

Gates

New public entry gate structures will be erected with turnstiles, lighting, gate identification connected to the new utility service loop. These gates will reflect Myron Hunt's clean, simple design found throughout the stadium and grounds effectively serving as the gateway to the Rose Bowl stadium's historic renovations to be found within.
