86TH ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION AT THE ROSE BOWL

There was plenty of fun the whole day long beginning at 2:00 p.m. Families picnicked on the grassy Family Fun Zone area outside the Rose Bowl where there was food, entertainment, crafts, exhibits and inflatable rides for the kids.
 

The stadium gates opened at 6:30 p. m. and Paul Majors welcomed everyone inside the stadium. The Opening Ceremonies, Presentation of Colors, and National Anthem started off the evening's program. Mayor Bogaard and Congressman Schiff stopped by to say a few words to the crowd.
 

This year we paid special tribute to the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA. We were honored to have Iraq and Afghanistan Veteran, Moses Maddox with us who said a few words to the crowds.
 

The 2012 July 4th was a great success thanks to our generous donors celebrating here at a thank you reception in the Home Locker Room. Special thanks Marilynne Kennedy our energetic Fund Raising Chair, seen below frame left, with Joan Aarestad and John Amato.
 
Moses Maddox was thrilled to be inside the Rose Bowl and had fun kibitzing with one of the color guard as a young admirer looks on. To learn more about the IAVA visit www.iava.org.

The crowd loved the great musical performance and band formations by Drum Corps International's Pacific Crest and plenty of thrills with TNT Action Sports' Freestyle Motocross extravaganza. As TNT Emcee provided color commentary the audience enjoyed high flying tricks and a climactic finale that highlighted the most popular and spectacular tricks known, such as the back flip, whip, and Hart Attack.
 

A perfect end to a perfect fourth of July - the largest and best fireworks show in Southern California. Thanks to Pyrospectaculars who treated the crowd to wonderful ground and aerial fireworks.
 

It was quite a day. From flyover to Pyro Spectacular's fireworks it was a wonderful family event. he fun was everywhere, inside the stadium, outside the stadium in the Arroyo and throughout the nearby neighborhoods.
