Darryl Dunn - CEO / General Manager
Darryl Dunn is serving as CEO/General Manager for the Rose Bowl Operating Company in Pasadena, California. He has held this position since 1999.
He is responsible for managing all aspects of the facility, including; contract negotiations with prospective events, ongoing relationships with existing tenants; Tournament of Roses and UCLA all financial, marketing, operational needs for the stadium, and long term strategic planning, as well as community relations.
In addition, he also serves as the primary representative of the City of Pasadena to American Golf Corporation related to the operation of Brookside Golf Course, a 36 hole public golf course in Pasadena that is considered one of the most successful municipal golf courses in the United States.
His accomplishments including leading the Rose Bowl Operating Company in securing the largest improvement project in the stadium’s history that will provide the stadium with significant long term capital improvements, and securing 30 year contracts with UCLA, and Tournament of Roses, as well as 15 year agreements with IMG and Legends. He has booked and overseen such events as: three BCS National Championship Games, 12 UCLA seasons, and has hosted such events as: Finals of 1999 Women’s World Cup Final (largest attended women’s athletic event in the world), U2 at the Rose Bowl (largest attended concert for a single band in United States history), international soccer, including matches involving Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, and the national teams of Mexico, United States, and Brazil.
He also has spearheaded the creation of two non-profit organizations, Rose Bowl Legacy, and First Tee of Pasadena, which have provided support to both the Rose Bowl and Brookside Golf Course.
A native of Connecticut, Mr. Dunn resides in Santa Clarita and is married and has two children.
George W. Cunningham - COO
George has over 13 years of sports and entertainment management experience. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2001 with a B.S. degree in Sports Management. George started his sports and entertainment management career in South Florida in the private sector, with Contemporary Services Corporation, CSC.
During his time in South Florida George worked at the University of Miami as the Director of Facility Operations for the athletic department. In his 3 year stint with University of Miami, George oversaw the upkeep, rental, renovation, and construction of all athletic facilities as well as assisted in football game day operations.
In 2009 George moved to LA and rejoined the CSC team. While working for CSC in Southern California, George assisted the CSC LA branch in operations at the Rose Bowl Stadium, opened up a new branch servicing the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, as well as worked with the CSC International division in providing security services to the Country of Canada for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. George helped retain and grow the CSC San Bernardino office to provide services to the Auto Club Speedway, National Orange Show Events Center, Coachella Arts & Music Festival, University of California Riverside, Cal State University San Bernardino, and Sam Manuel Amphitheater.
Currently George is the Chief Operating Officer for the Rose Bowl Operating Company where he oversees the day to day and event day operations of the Rose Bowl Stadium as well as manages client relations, maintain and grow vendor relationships, and scout and book new events.

George has been certified in Techniques of Effective Alcohol Management (TEAM) in the Master Trainer Program, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security NIMS IS – 100.b, IS – 200.b, IS – 700.a, IS – 800.b, NCS4 Sports and Special Events Incident Management, Train Crowd Manager (TCM), and American Heart Association First Aid & CPR AED.
Jens Weiden - CRO
Jens Weiden comes to the Rose Bowl Operating Company by way of San Francisco Giants Enterprises. In his 6+ years with the Giants organization he was responsible for generating non-baseball revenue including concerts, sporting events, and private events. Mr. Weiden also handled all sponsorship sales & public relations for Giants Enterprises and was involved in the creation of multiple company owned events like the Giant Race.
Prior to his time with Giants Enterprises Mr. Weiden handled entertainment and online marketing for 24 Hour Fitness Corp, and also managed multiple golf courses in the San Francisco Bay Area while working for the American Golf Corporation.
Mr. Weiden graduated from Saint Mary's College, and currently lives in Glendale, CA with his wife Raelene and son Parker.
Larry Madden - CFO
Larry Madden arrived at the Rose Bowl Operating Company (RBOC) in 1998 as its first, and to date, only Chief Financial Officer, primarily responsible for the formation and management of an independent finance department for the RBOC, a California corporation and a fully-owned subsidiary of the City of Pasadena. Some of his other duties include the assisting in securing and settling of major events. He has also managed the financial and tax records for the Rose Bowl Foundation. He has been involved in the major capital improvements undertaken during his tenure, which includes the new “Locker Room & Media Center” project, the “Golf Course Master Plan” and the Stadium “Renovation Project”
Immediately prior to this, he worked at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum & Sports Arena for approximately five years, first with Spectacor Management Group, described as “the Gold Standard in Public Facility Management”, and then as a direct employee of the Coliseum Commission, when its tenants included the NFL, NBA and USC football and basketball. There, in addition to his regular duties, he directly assisted in the formation and management of both the always profitable, in-house food & beverage company and of the L.A. Coliseum Soccer Cup joint venture ship.
Mr. Madden previously worked at the Rose Bowl as a volunteer during the 1994 Men’s World Cup Soccer Tournament while simultaneously working at the Coliseum & Sports Arena.
Mr. Madden graduated from the University of Santa Clara, the oldest university in California, obtaining a Bachelor in Science in Commerce degree majoring in Finance and with a minor in modern languages. There he played both intercollegiate water polo and volleyball for the Broncos. Next he obtained a Certificate in Accounting from UCLA Extension, later becoming a CPA in the State of California. He then obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California, covering such subjects as Advertising & Promotion, Sports Management, Negotiation & Persuasion and Business Taxation.
Born in Los Angeles, he was raised and educated early on in Pasadena, also attending grammar school in Mexico, high school in Los Angeles and college in Europe (W. Germany, Austria, Poland and France). He currently resides in Altadena and has held dual citizenship with the European Union since 1987.
Dedan Brozino - Executive Director of Development
Dedan Brozino is currently the Executive Director of Development at the Rose Bowl Operating Company, bringing over a decade of sport management experience within the Southern California region and East Coast, along with a heavy background in fundraising, resource acquisition, sales, and marketing. At the Rose Bowl, Dedan is primarily responsible for developing a strategic long-rang fundraising plan for the stadium and the surrounding Central Arroyo, through securing increasing resources and financial support through philanthropy to the Legacy Foundation.
Prior to coming to Pasadena, Dedan was the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations and Communications at Long Beach State Athletics, having managed record volumes of revenue production in each year. As a member of the Athletic Department’s Senior Administrative Staff, Brozino managed the growth of all revenue-based activity as well as the direct oversight of the operational and budget components for the Marketing (19 NCAA Division I sports programs), Sponsorships (Learfield Sports Properties), Ticketing, and Media Relations departments, and operations/communications for the Beach Athletic Club and Development office. His involvement in fundraising included short- and long-term major gift solicitation, stewardship and planning for more than $27 million in capital projects as well as gifts to support the Club’s robust annual fund. In addition to his fundraising and revenue directives, he also continued to develop and maintain the external communications strategy to elevate visibility and exposure for the Beach brand, which has become nationally-recognized due to program success, newfound radio exposure on the FM dial, regional/national TV coverage, the #1 nationally-ranked court design and the nation’s largest on-campus videoboard. The brand received a visual refreshment in 2014 amidst national attention, which was led internally by Brozino’s research and implementation. The refresh vaulted the University’s historic ballpark, Blair Field, into the top-25 nationally in fan experience and further solidified the Walter Pyramid as one of the most fan-friendly venues in Southern California.
During his oversight, fan attendance steadily increased each year, including 8 of the school’s top 12 attendances for men’s basketball and the top attendance for Dirtbags Baseball. Long Beach State’s marketing initiatives have also been nationally-recognized on thirteen difference occasions, winning major awards from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) for grassroots initiatives. In 2014-15, revenues and attendances for LBSU’s most profitable and visible program, men’s basketball, hit an all-time high with record numbers.
While at LBSU, Brozino also spent time as the Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and Revenue Development where he spearheaded the creation and management of the department’s first-ever Ticket Office call center and sales team, which has streamlined customer service and offered further revenue growth of the season ticket base and Beach Athletic Club scholarship fund through day-to-day operations.
Before moving into the Development department, Brozino spent over four years in the Marketing & Promotions department at the Walter Pyramid, leading the marketing efforts from 2008-2011 for 19 NCAA Division 1 programs as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing/Corporate Partnerships.
In addition to his full-time duties, Dedan has also volunteered with several organizations and events during his career, including acting as the Big West Conference representative for NACMA from 2013-present and 2010-12, the 2007 NCAA Women’s Water Polo National Championship and the 2003 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament. He is also an adjunct professor and member of the Board of Advisors for the CSULB Graduate Program in Sport Management, as well as an adjunct professor for the University of San Francisco’s Graduate Program in Sport Management. He received his Master's in Sport Management from CSULB in 2008.
He also did work as a sabermetrics expert for the statistics firm, Baseball Info Solutions, specializing in packaging of data for Major League Baseball teams and their scouting departments.
Brozino is a graduate of DeSales University in Center Valley, PA where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration and a minor in Print Journalism. He got his start in the sports industry at DSU as a Media Relations/Communications Assistant. While on campus in Center Valley, he was also a pitcher on the Bulldogs baseball team, which made the school’s only College World Series appearance in 2003, and was inducted into the school’s athletic Hall of Fame in 2013.
