101st Rose Bowl Game

The 101st Rose Bowl Game will be a College Football Playoff semifinal game which will be held on January 1, 2015 at the Rose Bowl Stadium. This game will feature no. 2 Oregon and no. 3 Florida State who will compete for a spot in the College Football Playoff Championship to be played on January 12, 2015 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.

Please Note: Oregon will be on the west sideline and Florida State will be on the east sideline.

Ticketmaster Public Pre-Sale – A limited number of tickets will be available to the general public on Thursday, August 28 at 9 a.m. PT. Additional tickets will be available on December 9 at 8 a.m. PT. Tickets will be available online or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000. A maximum of four tickets per person will be available during the pre-sale. Individual ticket prices start at $150 plus Ticketmaster handling fees.  

Pasadena Residents - A limited number of tickets will be available to Pasadena residents age 18+ (only with valid CA license or CA ID card with a Pasadena address will be accepted as proof of residency) on Saturday, December 6 at 10 a.m. PT at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium Box Office. Line-ups will not be allowed prior to 7 a.m. that day. Individual ticket prices are $150 plus a $10 box office handling fee. Maximum of two per person; single tickets are available.

All persons attending the College Footballl Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual must have a full-priced reserved ticket for admission. Lap passes are not issued for children.

Will Call Booths

Tickets purchased through the participating universities can be picked up on game day at the Will Call Booth outside of Gate A starting at noon. Tickets purchased through other authorized distributors can be picked up on game day starting at 10 AM at the Will Call Booth outside of Gate B. Picture identification will be required.

Parking

Parking is $40 per car at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Parking lots open at 4 a.m. There is no reserved parking and cars may be stack-parked in rows of five (5) on a first-come, first-served basis. In-and-out privileges are prohibited in all parking areas.

Parsons (off-site)

There is a $40 parking charge per car at Parsons on game day. Reserved parking can be purchased in advance by visiting rosebowl.lazparking.com for a discounted price of $30.  Overnight parking is also available for $60. Bus parking is available for $200 and RV parking is available for $250, $350 and $450 for one, two or three night stays, respectively. Call LAZ Parking at 626.578.1705 for further details.

Motorhome Parking

Game day motorhome parking opens at 4 AM on January 1 and costs $200. Overnight motorhome parking will be available beginning at noon on December 28 and closing at noon on January 2. Rates are based on date of arrival and are as follows:

  • December 28 - $600
  • December 29 - $500
  • December 30 - $400
  • December 31 - $300
  • January 1 - $200

There is a one-time charge of $40 for tow vehicles. Motorhome parking is not available for purchase in advance.

Bus & Limo Parking

Parking passes may be pre-purchased at a cost of $200 for limousines (or any commercial vehicle under 23' long) and $300 for buses (or any commercial vehicle over 23' long). Click here to pre-purchase your pass or call 626.397.4220. On game day, limousine parking is $250 and bus parking is $350.

Public Transportation / Shuttle

DROP-OFF / TAXI ZONE / RIDESHARE

The designated drop-off and pick-up is on Holly Street between Fair Oaks Avenue and Arroyo Parkway. There are no provisions for drop-offs adn pick-ups at the stadium.

ROSE BOWL GAME PRESENTED BY NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL SHUTTLE & PARSONS PARKING LOT

On January 1, free shuttle buses are available at Parsons parking lot located at the corner of Union Street and De Lacey Avenue in Pasadena. The shuttle runs continuously from 10 a.m. until approximately two hours after the end of the game.

There is a $40 parking charge per car at Parsons on game day. Reserved parking can be purchased in advance by visiting rosebowl.lazparking.com for a discounted price of $30.  Overnight parking is also available for $60. Bus parking is available for $200 and RV parking is available for $250, $350 and $450 for one, two or three night stays, respectively. Call LAZ Parking at 626.578.1705 for further details.

Between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., there will be heavy traffic exiting Pasadena from Parsons and the adjacent Old Pasadena parking lots due to the Rose Parade. It is advisable to arrive into Pasadena to park at Parsons before 10 a.m. or after 11:30 a.m. to avoid congestion.

GOLD LINE LIGHT RAIL SERVICE

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) operates a light rail service to Pasadena via the Metro Gold Line.

If you would like to take the Metro Gold Line to the game, exit the train at Memorial Park Station in Pasadena. Follow the signs for two blocks to the Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual Shuttle pick-up location at Parsons. This shuttle will take you directly to the Rose Bowl Stadium. After the game, simply reverse your route.

Stadium Policies and Fan Code of Conduct

There are no in-and-out privileges at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Once you exit the stadium, you may not re-enter.

The following items are not permitted into the stadium:

  • Noisemakers including thunder sticks, musical instruments, whistles, air horns and boom boxes
  • Weapons or projectiles
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Glass, metal or hard plastic containers of any size
  • Frozen beverage bottles
  • Hard or soft sided coolers of any size
  • Plastic drink containers (except 2 liters or less with factory seal intact)
  • Umbrellas
  • Backpacks, bags and purses larger than 14" square
  • Boxes or wrapped packages of any size
  • Unsliced fruits or vegetables
  • Animals (other than service animals required because of a disability)
  • Balls, toys or sports equipment (excluding commemorative footballs)
  • Banners, signs or flags
  • Helium balloons
  • Laser pointers
  • Poles or stick
  • Unauthorized cameras with lenses longer than 3.5", interchangeable or telephoto lenses, video cameras, monopods or tripods
  • Skates, skateboards, scooters or bicycles

Note: Strollers are permitted but must be checked with an usher inside the stadium tunnel or at the Checked Items tent.

Southern California Fan Code of Conduct

The Rose Bowl Stadium, the Rose Bowl Game and Los Angeles Sports Council support the area’s outstanding collegiate sports teams. In order to ensure a safe and celebratory environment, we ask that fans refrain from the following behavior at all events:

  • Profanity or other offensive language, whether spoken or appearing on apparel
  • Smoking (The Rose Bowl is a non-smoking facility)
  • Intoxication or excessive alcohol consumption
  • Bringing prohibited items into the venue
  • Throwing of items or liquids
  • Entering the playing field or court at any time
  • Fighting or other threatening behavior
  • Failure to retain ticket and/or present it to event staff if requested to do so
  • Resale of tickets at the venue
  • Violation of state or local laws

Failure to comply may subject you to ejection or arrest.

Fans are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to team/venue personnel. We welcome your help in our efforts to provide an enjoyable experience for all guests.

Tailgate Parties

Public Tailgate Party

Free and open to the public, tailgate activities begin at 8 a.m. on game day. A variety of food and beverages are available for purchase. There are interactive displays and entertainment attractions located on Lot “H,” just south of the stadium. 

Alumni Tailgate Parties

The alumni associations of the two participating institutions have designated areas for their official alumni tailgate parties. The alumni parties take place at Brookside Golf Club, on the golf course, located just north of the stadium. Please contact the alumni associations for more details.

Corporate Hospitality Village

Tailgating Guidelines

Tailgating is an important part of the game day experience for you the fan. We are committed to creating a fan friendly environment that is safe for all to enjoy. For most fans, tailgating is a time for celebrating team and school spirit among family and friends. You as fans play an important role in helping to preserve tailgating as that type of experience. For your safety and the enjoyment of all, we ask that you please help by observing these tailgating guidelines:

  • Public intoxication and alcohol impaired behavior will be addressed aggressively by law enforcement. If you see alcohol related behavior getting out of hand, please IMMEDIATELY contact tailgaiting Ambassadors, Police, or Parking Personnel or call 911 to report the location and to describe the incident. Pasadena Police, security and parking personnel will be present to ensure that you enjoy the game in a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Fights and threatening behavior against other fans will also be addressed aggressively by law enforcement.
  • Tailgating Ambassadors will continuously patrol the lots to provide information and assistance and to ensure that tailgaters comply with established guidelines. tailgaiting Ambassadors will be dressed in green uniforms and will be on bicycles.
  • General parking lots (golf course, ball diamonds, Area H, West Drive RV parking) open six (6) hours prior to kick-off. When entering the parking lot, it is important to follow directions from parking personnel. Please note that there are no “in and out” privileges for vehicles.
  • Overnight parking is prohibited.
  • Parking lots close 90 minutes following the conclusion of the game.
  • Parking is first come-first served. No saving of parking spaces is permitted.
  • Please be respectful to fans around you, other vehicles and stadium property.
  • Roadways, aisles and other parking areas must be kept clear of tailgaiting equipment so that other vehicles and emergency personnel may park or pass through.
  • Tailgating at your vehicle should not interfere with the normal flow of traffic. tailgaiting Ambassadors will patrol these areas to ensure compliance.
  • Guests must tailgate in front of or behind their vehicle only.
  • A small tent (not larger than 10'x10') may be erected in front of or behind your vehicle only.
  • Open flames are not permitted in any tailgate or parking area. Charcoal grills are not permitted in the RV parking area (West Drive). All barbecue grills must be raised off the ground.
  • Charcoal grills are permitted in most tailgate areas. Please dispose of charcoal properly after use.
  • Please do not use glass containers. All drinks should be placed in plastic/disposable cups.
  • Please do your best to clean up your tailgating area before entering the game. Bring trash bags with you to dispose of trash. Neatly tied trash bags can be left at your tailgate area or taken to dumpsters located throughout the parking lot areas. Please refrain from leaving loose trash and litter in the parking areas.
  • Playing of games that involve the consumption of alcohol or use of alcohol-related paraphernalia are prohibited.
  • Use of controlled substances and underage drinking are against the law.
  • The consumption of alcoholic beverages in tailgaiting areas after kick-off is prohibited.
  • Selling of items or soliciting of any promotional or marketing activities are prohibited without written authorization from the event promoter and the Rose Bowl Operating Company. For additional information, contact the Rose Bowl administration office at (626) 577-3100.
  • Excessively loud amplified music (such as DJ's or live entertainment) is prohibited. Music with inappropriate language is prohibited in the tailgating areas.
  • Box trucks, trailers, grill in-tow or any catering service from an outside source are not permitted in parking lots.
  • Tailgate areas are for tailgating only. Organized, large-scale parties will be accommodated only in specific areas of Rose Bowl parking lots and must be arranged in advance through Rose Bowl Management. Examples of organized, large-scale parties include, but are not limited to: tents larger than 10'x 10'; rental furniture, on-site catered food; fencing; reserved space; amplified sound; commercial grills, corporate or commercially sponsored parties. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE GUIDELINES, ALONG WITH ALL APPLICABLE CITY, STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS, STADIUM OR EVENT POLICIES MAY RESULT IN CITATION OR ARREST AS WELL AS LOSS OF tailgaiting PRIVILEGES AND/OR GAME TICKETS.

Pasadena Residents

Accessible Seating / Information

Disable Guest Seating

Disabled guest seating is available through any of the authorized ticket distributors of the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game. Disabled guests should request seating in the disabled patron seating area when purchasing their tickets. Up to three (3) companion tickets may be purchased. They will be assigned to the closest available seat next to the accessible seat. Guests with disabilities who are purchasing tickets through one of the participating institutions should request seating in the disabled patron seating area prior to game day to ensure that seating is available in the area adjacent to the participating institution's seats.

Remaining seats for disabled guests may be exchanged on game day inside the stadium at the customer service booth located near Tunnel 28 or outside the stadium at the ticket booth near Gate B. Disabled guest seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parking

Parking for disabled guests is on a first-come, first-served basis in lots adjacent to the stadium (Lots F, B and D). All vehicles entering these parking lots must display a valid handicap placard and be prepared to present identification upon entry. Disabled guest parking opens at 4 a.m. and is $40 per car. Once designated spaces are filled, guests may be directed to alternate parking, which may be on the golf course.

Paratransit Vehicle Drop-Off Area

Disabled guest drop-off is available at Parsons parking lot free of charge. Guests will then board the shuttle bus that will take them directly to the stadium. Disabled guest parking at Parsons is $40 per car. Shuttle buses are handicapped accessible.

Stadium Gate Entry

Guests who are disabled may enter through any of the eight (8) stadium entry gates.

Assistive Listening & Closed Captioning Devices

Assistive listening and closed captioning devices are available upon request. Please visit the Rose Bowl Stadium Administrative Office between Tunnel 28 and 1 for additional information.
