Pasadena, Calif. (October 2, 2019) – Azulana, a brand new, high-quality, ready-to-drink sparkling beverage made with 100% blue agave tequila, was announced today as the Official Sparkling Tequila Partner of the iconic Rose Bowl. Azulana officially made its brand launch during the highly-anticipated Rolling Stones concert in August 2019. Now it will be offered at all Rose Bowl events throughout the 2019-2020 season at concession stands throughout the stadium’s concourse.

Produced by Pasadena-based Pure Azul Beverage Company, Azulana is expertly crafted using blue agave tequila and sweetened with agave nectar. Azulana is offered in three unique flavors – Blue Agave, Lime and Pineapple Rosemary – and will be featured at all Rose Bowl events.

“Azulana is an exciting, refreshing and convenient way to enjoy the finest quality of 100% blue agave tequila,” said Pure Azul Beverage Company CEO, Henry Morita. “Our vision of offering a high-quality, ready-to-drink tequila that fans can enjoy anytime, anywhere really comes to life with our partnership with Rose Bowl Stadium.”

Azulana is produced in Mexico’s Jalisco region in Guadalajara, Mexico - widely recognized as the original birthplace of tequila. The decision to produce Azulana in this region was crucial to the Azulana team, as they aimed to authentically integrate the region’s rich heritage and history. Morita and team conceptualized Azulana after identifying the opportunity to harness the fervor surrounding craft cocktail culture with the demand for progressive, RTD beverage options.  Azulana is currently available exclusively in southern California.

“The Rose Bowl Stadium is a symbol of the great city of Pasadena,” said Jens Weiden, CRO of Rose Bowl Operating Company. “We’re especially proud to support a local brand with such a bright future, and we look forward to having them as a partner for years to come.”
